High above the mighty blue
Flew he on wings of varied hue.
Soaring & rising, dipping & diving
He explored the world with a passionate cool.
Up over the horizon where he flew
There was a mystery stark & true,
Throttling forward with a vigour anew
Covering distances through the mighty blue.
Cutting through the clouds, diving into the sides
Lifting above the mist, speeding with a twist,
Slicing through the barriers of sound
Moving into the zone that belongs to the unbound.
Silence is so serene, pristine like the bounty green
He flies through the mighty blue
In the confines of his cockpit filled with lovely solitude.

I romance the misty hue,
Spread my wings
To kiss the mighty blue.

That was amazing..seems like this aviator will always miss being in the sky! The description of the sky was so vivid...makes me wanna fly into that misty Hue....
